Dominican University of California's Field Placement course provided me the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of Psychology. At Bayside Marin Recovery and Treatment Center, I have been able to apply current knowledge and learn new skills to carry with me throughout my career.

My Role at Bayside Marin

At Bayside Marin, I work as a Behavioral Health Associate, on the Clinical Technician team. Here, I learned how to conduct hourly rounds, facilitate group meetings, and assist in admitting new clients. Most importantly, I furthered my knowledge of substance abuse with co-occurring disorders. My role at Bayside provided me insight into of the oppression and intersectionalities that increase the number of challenges for people to receive the help they need to achieve and maintain sobriety.
